The Analysis

You can download the analysis as an Excel file that contains several tabs, each with specific data. A brief explanation of the tabs is provided below. Review the E-Learning for additional information on the different tabs.

Tab Percent correct by sound

This tab lists the sounds in acquisition order. For each sound, it shows how many times the child said the sound correctly. The PCC, PCC-R and PMLU can also be found in this tab. You will also find an overview with the sound acquisition ordered by place and mode of articulation.

Processes tab

This tab lists all the phonological processes that occur, and on which sounds they occur. For each phonological process, it also shows how often it occurred initial or final.

Processes Clusters tab

This tab lists all the phonological processes that occur with the clusters, and on which sounds they occur. For each phonological process, it also shows how often it occurred initial or final.

Sounds tab

This tab shows for each sound whether the sound was made correctly and how often it was made. If the sound is pronounced incorrectly, it indicates which process took place (e.g. deletion, position error, insertion, etc.).

Clusters tab

This tab shows for each cluster whether it was made correctly and how many times it was made. If the cluster is pronounced incorrectly, it states what process took place (e.g., deletion, position error, insertion, etc.).

Tab Percent correct by cluster

This tab shows for each cluster how many times the child said the sound correctly. A distinction is made here between the initial and final clusters.

Cycles & Patterns tab

In this tab, sounds are arranged according to a Hodson & Paden cycle.
